When it is time to list your home, we work with you or your realtors to tidy up the residence to be ready for real estate photography. This includes: packing family and personal photos, reducing the amount of tchotchkes on surfaces, clearing kitchen counters, fold and stage bathrooms (we are ex-yacht stews after all!), and organizing closets to be aesthetically appealing. We can also bring in staging companies, move extra furniture to a storage unit, and order flower arrangements.

Prepare for Real Estate Photos
Our primary service specializes in the seamless move and relocation of sizable estates. Many of our clients are hands off and trust us to oversee the process while they are out of town. It is a great time to book a relaxing vacation and bypass a lot of the stress of moving! We custom tailor this service to each client. We will work with existing staff in place and offer vendor recommendations to facilitate the move, coordinate everything on our own which frees up staff to continue their daily operations, or be involved in any way you may need us. Below you will see a list of related moving services we offer in partnership with phenomenal local vendors to help with all the to-dos of moving. This list is always growing as we encounter new and unique requests. We love a good challenge and always find exceptional vendors to get the job done.
Our commitment extends beyond this initial service. We grow with our clients as they transition into new spaces, overseeing various aspects such as managing storage units, collaborating with designers, coordinating renovation move outs/ins, maintaining detailed inventories, organizing consignment and estate sales, and offering monthly subscription personal assisting packages to provide enduring support.

Many of our clients hear about us after the passing of a loved one and have a short amount of time to divide the contents and have everything moved out to be put on the market. This includes: junk clean out, getting appraisals, auctions, estate sales, working with the trust, and dividing assets and contents between family members.
No move is stress-free by any means, but it is especially difficult and taxing when the heavy emotions of loss are involved. Our team at Cup of Sugar, along with our vendors, are equipped to handle any request or need of our clients with complete confidentiality, empathy, peaceful coordination, and administrative efficiency to help make some of the tough decisions.

One of the most rewarding services we offer is working with the elderly. It is such a tender and heart filling experience to spend time with our wisdom holders and provide them an extra layer of love and support in the difficult transition of moving out of their home. We are there to hold their hand and ease the stress of it all. We have vendors that can assist with any medical and physical needs for when they move into their new home. The process becomes less intense for both the elder as well as the family involved. For out of state family, we offer peace of mind knowing that your loved one has someone within reach at all times.

Our standard procedure for facilitating a client's move across states is designed as a framework, which we custom-tailor to meet each client's specific needs and preferences.

Depending on the residence's size and the project's scope, we aim to have our clients comfortably settled within two weeks, with smaller moves often completed in less than a week.

Pre-Move
Consultation Call: Initiate a discussion to understand your requirements and timeframe.
Home Visit: Conduct a walk-through, taking photographs and an inventory for the move.
Logistics Coordination: Schedule movers, punch list repairs, consignment/auctions, vehicle/wine transport, donation pickups, etc.
Housewares Procurement: Order any required housewares, ensuring they are washed, put away, and recommending organizational items for implementation.

Moving Day
Project Oversight: Manage and supervise every aspect of the moving process, including collecting contents from various locations or storage units.
Storage Unit Packing: If contents are going to storage first, we will inventory and organize the unit for easy access of items.
New Home Arrival: Welcome movers into the new home, overseeing the unpacking and organization (yes your closets will be color coded!) with our team or collaborating with the client's housekeepers and staff.

Post- Move
Furniture Deliveries: Receive new furniture and items arriving after the moving date. Coordinate with builder or designer for receiving of items.
Post-Move Responsibilities: Oversee any remaining contract work or cleaning in the new home, serving as an owner representative if the client is out of town.
Close Out Storage Units: downsize storage units when possible, take new inventory of remaining items, close out any unneeded units.
